Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy

SAGECE Limited is dedicated to maintaining a workplace environment—whether virtual, remote, or in shared office settings—that prioritises the safety, health, and environmental responsibility of our entire team. This policy has been developed with the specific needs of flexible working models in mind, reflecting our commitment to preventing incidents, reducing our environmental footprint, and ensuring the well-being of all who contribute to our business success.

Scope

This policy covers every location, platform, and context in which SAGECE Limited operates, including employees’ home offices, hot desk facilities, co-working locations, data centres, and any client sites where our people may be present.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Oversee compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations; allocate appropriate resources for ongoing training and support; and review our HSE performance regularly throughout our varied work environments.

  • Staff Members: Follow the company’s HSE protocols, report any hazards or incidents (including those encountered digitally or in communal workspaces), and engage fully in training and risk assessment activities relevant to remote and hot desk arrangements.

Our Health and Safety Commitments

  • Sustain safe working conditions by supporting correct ergonomic setups for remote and shared workspaces and ensuring all equipment is maintained to appropriate standards.

  • Support mental health and wellbeing by providing access to digital resources, flexible work options, and initiatives to help manage stress across distributed teams.

  • Undertake regular risk assessments focusing on challenges unique to home offices and shared spaces, such as workstation ergonomics, information security, and equipment safety.

  • Develop, communicate, and routinely update emergency response procedures relevant to both virtual and office-based scenarios, including those for fire safety, health emergencies, and data protection breaches.

Environmental Responsibility

  • Encourage responsible use and disposal of electronic devices; promote energy efficiency through the adoption of suitable technology; and support recycling efforts, especially in shared working locations.

  • Favour sustainable purchasing when selecting IT hardware and office materials used within SAGECE Limited’s working environments.

  • Promote awareness among staff about the environmental impacts of remote and flexible working, including reducing travel, minimising resource use, and preferring virtual meetings to lower the company’s carbon footprint.

Communication and Training

  • Deliver tailored HSE training specific to the realities of virtual and hot desk working, ensuring everyone is clear on safety, health, and environmental best practices.

  • Keep open and accessible channels available for everyone to report HSE concerns, whether they arise in a digital or physical context, and gather suggestions for ongoing improvement.

Continuous Improvement

We monitor and refine our HSE performance through audits, regular feedback, and staff involvement. This policy is reviewed at least annually and updated whenever significant operational or regulatory changes occur.

The HSE policy is a cornerstone of our commitment to responsible and ethical business practice, ensuring SAGECE Limited remains a safe, healthy, and environmentally conscious workplace—no matter where or how our people work.
